The Lord inspires Maine blacksmith, Ernie Lowell, to use his talents, forge, and hammer to shape iron into works of art. Ernie is always toting a new creation or two around in his truck. The way he turns horseshoes hot from the forge and decorates them by wielding his hammer on the anvil constantly amazes me. No two items are ever exactly alike. Many of them are three dimensional.

Would you like a unique piece for yourself or to give as a gift? Check out the samples on our website at www.chha.net or give Ernie a call at 207-468-4489 and discuss an idea you have in mind. Ernie will donate a portion of the proceeds to CHHA if you mention you learned about him from us.

Sharron Adams

Sharron Ruth Adams, 76, died May 20 at her home in Bellville, Ohio, with her loving family by her side. Sharron and her husband, Albert, have been CHHA members for many years. Together they created, maintained and operated Winterwood Farm in the scenic rolling hills of north central Ohio. Read obituary

A native of Ontario, Canada, she was born Sept. 16, 1939.

Mrs. Adams and her husband, Albert, moved to the United States in 1962 and later became proud American citizens. She was also very proud of her Mohawk Indian heritage. She was a strong, loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, nana and friend.

Among her many interests were walking on the family’s horse farm that she helped create, maintain and operate. She was also a wonderful planner and her organizational skills were second to none. She enjoyed holidays and birthdays and particularly having the family together and making each family member smile. She was a beacon of strength and even in her final days encouraged all family members to remain strong.
